Griha Pravesh is the Vedic ceremony performed before a family begins living in a new home. The pandit invokes Lord Ganesha, the Navagrahas and Vastu Purush, performs a havan to purify the space, and guides the family through the auspicious first entry with a boiled-milk offering. It is believed to welcome positive energy, protect the household and make the home a place of peace and prosperity.
Anyone entering a new house, whether bought, built or rented, and families who want to bless a home after renovation or a long vacancy.
